Joanna Ham works with a talented team of ceramic specialists to craft the whiteware, screen prints the Rabbits, and hand decorate the mugs. After their final fire in the kiln, our potter sends the Rabbits to HAM headquarters, where we check, wrap, and box them up, ready for new homes.
HAM follows the contented life of Rabbit – capturing daily adventures, sporting escapades, and social outings in silhouette form on a range of thoughtfully crafted wares.
Liberty first picked up HAM’s debut homeware collection of ceramics and fabrics and has since been exhibited in London, New York, and Paris, featured in international magazines, and resided on the shelves of leading retailers in over thirty countries around the world, including Conran, Centre Pompidou, Colette, and West Elm.

HAM BRAND: HAM is the brainchild of artist and illustrator Joanna Ham, who gained a BFA in Fine Art with a specialism in anatomy from Oxford University's Ruskin School of Art.
Jo’s work seeks to celebrate the everyday. Informed by her studies and early career in design, she has always been fascinated by popular culture. She uses Rabbit to shine a light on life’s simple pleasures - particularly how we interact through work and play.
The resulting social commentary creates HAM's happy world, where our daily rituals, likes, and hobbies are immortalized in print for all to enjoy.
In 2018, Jo was awarded Natwest's UK Creative Industries Entrepreneur of the Year, and 2019 the Aviva Women of the Future Arts and Culture Prize.
In 2023, Jo launched her first two picture books, Yippee! Rabbit and Uh-oh! Rabbit, in partnership with Walker Books UK, Candlewick Press America, and Walker Books Australia. Ham's third book, Oops! Rabbit followed in early 2024. With board books of the series scheduled for 2025, Jo is currently working on her fourth addition to the Rabbit series.
Aside from HAM, Jo is also a visual artist. Using photograms and digital imaging, she blurs the lines between drawing and photography, fashion and fine art. Recent commissions include artwork for Saatchi Gallery London, Nike, The Berkeley Hotel, and Eurostar.

INSTITUTE OF CONTEMPORARY ART OF BOSTON: In March 2019, HAM was invited to take over a wall at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston.
Jo and the team installed a large-scale Superhero Rabbit vinyl in the main lobby and hung framed screen prints in series down the store walls. We worked with Farrow and Ball to create a vibrant backdrop for the artwork, all of which can be seen at the gallery until the Summer.
